Gallery Image Edit plugins

Hi,

I have been trying to get information on how to create new image editing plugins for the Gallery on Nokia N9. For example, an addition for Blur or Sharpen to the plugins found in Gallery->settings menu->Edit. I haven't been able to find how to do this.

I came across a project called Nokia Photo Map Plugin that integrates with the menu in Gallery. So apparently, a framework exists to create custom plugins.
Ideally, I would want to be able to add to the "Edit" menu, but even if an addition to the main menu is possible, like it is in this plugin, it would be helpful. Unfortunately, there is no source code or documentation available for the plugin.

Would really appreciate any help in this regard.

There is source code available for few gallery plugins in gitorious.
