Hi,

You can make a widget that closes itself after it tapping it the HS, just before the full screen widget would be shown, and after launching some other Symbian app.
However if you are planning to distribute this solution and not to use it only for your own joy, there will be problems in packaging.
You will end up having two separate apps that are linked together, but must be installed separately and uninstalled separately.
