GSM Codes - Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD)

Hello,

my service provider supports setting the call forward option+number via USSD.
e.g. **62*017812345678# redirects any incoming call to 017812345678, if the phone has no network connection.

because my phone has no connection at my working place i want to redirect all incoming calls to my landline phone number.

i want to switch my call forward settings programmatically.

is anybody out there who has a clue how to emit an USSD or how to access the internal modem so i could use an AT Command, which would also allow me to send an USSD request.

i like my N9 very much but sometimes i get really upset because its so hard to write an app for it. (i come from android)


PS: i have read about ofono which seems to support USSD. but i have absolutely no idea if its possible to use ofono on the N9.

Try running "pnatd" on a terminal (e.g. using SSH to the N9) and type some AT commands there. Eg.:

$ pnatd
ATI
Nokia

OK

but it seems that pnatd does not support the USSD codes i need to use. your hint lead me to a thread on a meamo forum.
they had success with sending USSD codes.

at+cusd=1,"*100#",15
+CUSD: 0,"Ihr Guthaben f\x81r die Nr.491234567890 betr\x84gt 13.53 Euro",15

however, on the meego n9 this does not seem to work

for now i have written a simple app which calls openuri("tel:##21#"). this is not very elegant because i have to click on the number every time. what i need is an automatable solution. i want to redirect calls while i am on a specific location where my network conectivity is not good enough to receive phone calls.

i read much about ofono. is it possible to install ofono to the N9?

If you would just follow what I said earlier you would have gotten it to work. As I said that call forwarding is 21-commands are NOT USSD commands, you can not utilize CUSD for executing them, instead you gotta read the manual and find the actual CALL FORWARDING AT command and use it.

i am now trying to find the "real" at command.

first time i get no error: (as root)
AT+CKPD=”*#21#”
OK

the problem with this code is that # and * are ignored. only the numbers where entered on screen (which is also unpratical). in the end the number is not called/sent.

i tried all of the codes from this pdf with no success.
i was so full of hope...
