platformRequest() does not start standard browser

I want to open an URL with platformRequest on N8/Belle and it works.
BUT: It always uses Nokia Web even if Opera is my standard browser.

Is there another command which respects the default browser setting or a workaround?

It will always open the built-in browser by Nokia (part of the firmware), and not any browsers you may have installed later. As far as I know, there are no workarounds (i.e., no way to change the behaviour). Nokia could change the behavior in a firmware update, but I suspect tweaking Symbian firmware for old phone models is not high on their priority list.
