    Dear Symbian Developers,

It has been apparent for quite a while now that the Meego os on the Nokia N9 has now become "dead", if i may use the term. It lacks the application support you would get on other symbian devices. Why not work on a Symbian based os for this landmark device?

N9 is NOT Symbian device, its MeeGo device. Also Symbian is not really going to have too long life span, so there would not be any point on porting Symbian to the N9.

I understand that it is not a symbian device, and that symbian may not have a long life span, so then why noy work on porting another os onto the device

Sure you could initiate porting efforts for the device if you feel like so, anyway, I wouldn't be expecting too much help from Nokia for the project.

please do not multipost, you basically have this asked in separate thread: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...lop-app-or-not
in general also its lot better to open new thread, than continue old thread with unrelated follow up questions.
