    Hi,

    I'm an forensic examiner.
I have to export Ovi Maps recent searches from an evidence (Nokia N8).
I found, and export this file:
    C:\private\20001f63\settings\recent.s2d

This file contains recent searches. But I can't interpret fully. What they are the binary data between ascii strings? Dates or coordinates?

    Thank you for any help.

its basically internal file for the application, and likely the format is not published anywhere. You could maybe ping Jason fox : http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...?837214-jasfox he would be located in Berlin and knows the maps contacts better.

anyway, not certain whether there is any ways on accessing the information, anyway, I would suggest you to prepare to prove that what you are really needing the information for, as well as why.
