Problem with QGraphicsView

Hello I am looking at mapsdemo example in QT 4.7.4.
On my C7 when I start the example and press the Options menu I have noticed that the application is hidden and then the menu is shown.
I think that this unwanted behavior is caused by the use of QGraphicsView in mapswidget.cpp.

What should I do - I want when I show the options menu to have a dimmed map on the background?
