Nokia maps: save coordinates of a place

Is it possible to build a functionality to Nokia maps, where you can yourself bookmark places of interest: e.g. a good place to fish, a place where you saw unique species, lost you ring, a great shop. In this functionality the phone should attach to the coordinates of the place your note. The nature of the notes could be differentiated with colors (eg. traffic colors).

AFAIK Nokia Maps itself would not have any functionality which with you could add functionality to it. Generally, also different platforms & different versions of the maps have different functionality, rather often there is a way to save landmarks.
Anyway as this DiBo concentrates on development related issues, if you are interested on the application functionality you might find more end-user problems related Dibo better suited for your query. Here's link for one: http://discussions.europe.nokia.com

And if you are interested on developing location apps, then do choose your target platforms, see which technologies can be used for developing for them, and then ask more detailed questions under the selected technology area.
