Easy way to implement sharing / send to functionality in App

Hi,
I would like to extend an Qt application so that it supports sharing / send to functionality (like in the Gallery app), so that the user can choose which way he wants to use in order to share some text (Whatsapp, Mail, SMS).

Is there some elegant way which should work both with harmattan and symbian (my priority is at Symbian)?

I don't remember seeing anything "standard" for this in Qt so you will have to implement it separately on each platform. For Symbian, I believe the API is RSendAs.
