Hi, There is a advertisement module in my application. The module need to update online in the background frequently. So I think about DLL. I hope the dll file can be used immediately after download. Unfortunate. It seem need to install before load. And my application is self-signed one and without silence install capability. Is there any way to update the module in the background? Thank you!

No you can not. Basically you would need to use silen-instalaltion, and its not working with self-signed applications. Anyway, I would suggest you re-consider the need for frequest updates, insteaqd you should think on simply updating teh content used in there, at least for me it sounds pretty non-common to require executables to be updated frequestly, if they are simply used for advertiseemnt purposes.

It is needless for update if single advert platform. in addition. some functions need to update in coming version. It is very trouble to do express-signed.

Basically, you could always ask the user to do the updating, then you could do it more easier and with self-signing.
