How to connect Windows phone 8 device to a Windows 8 Virtual Machine image

I am running windows 8 as a Vmware virtual machine, when i try to add the device i get an error



The connection for the USB device "Nokia RM-825|Nokia Lumia 820" was unsuccessful.
Driver error.

i tried to google this some response is that its to do with USB 3.0 , but no particular solution anyone else have problems.

If you are using USB 3.0, http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/mic...rnalId=1025956 seems to explain this issue. VMware version, the host OS and the actual USB 3 hardware all matter.
