I can't open Nokia Java IDE for some reason

Hi,

I was trying to open my Nokia Java IDE, and somehow when it loading workbench, it just doesn't work (Not responding). I didnt make any change to the configuration because i just opened it yesterday. I have no idea why is this happening, maybe someone can help me ?

We need more clues here to help you : What is your OS ? 32 bit / 64 bit ? What is JDK/JRE version ? Do you have any other version of Eclipse / Nokia IDE already installed ? Which other Mobile Developer tools you have installed in your device ?

You may try to look at configuration of your system regarding IDE requirements., You may running many ither programs at once.. or may due to usage of many APIs or JARs with multiple existence of same class.. And also checkout our version of Eclipse.. It should be up-to-date

Below step by step procedure may help you to install Nokia Java IDE.

STEP-1.Uninstall Nokia Java IDE.
STEP-2.Set-up Java 1.6.
STEP-3.Ping from command prompt java -version,if it is showing java 1.6 fine otherwise set path correctly.
STEP-4.Now install Nokia Java IDE.

I had the same issue today. The IDE could be started again after deleting the workspace's .metadata directory (default: Nokia\NokiaDevEnv\Workspace\.metadata) and everything was back to normal after re-importing the projects. Didn't need to reinstall the SDK.
