Why in Nokia Places API Discussion So Inactive?

I don't see hardly any 2013 activity here? Is there a reason for this? Is there another api to use for the same information? Thanks

there could be many reasons, one being that its so easy to use and well documented, and thus nobody would have any problems on utilizing it in their apps.
