WP 8-only app DeviceUniqueId Problem

Hello,

I am currently working on a Windows Phone app that targets 8.0 only. When I check the DeviceUniqueId, I realize that it is different than my other apps which target 7.1 or both 7 and 8.

Similar issue I found which explains the problem in detail:

Aim is to have matching ID's with my other apps. What would you recommend?

There are changes as to how DeviceUniqueId and ANID are handled in WP8 (versus WP7), there was an official post about it recently...

Official blogpost is a brilliant thing... Their documentation on the other hand, http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/libr...v=vs.105).aspx was updated 6 days earlier, and they did not manage adding this detail.

Ahh, and I was wondering why I hadn't heard of ANIDs before?! Anyway, I left feedback at the bottom of the page asking them to add details of ANID.
