query regarding nokia music api

Hi All,

I am new to nokia music api and just started looking at it. I have couple of queries before I proceed with it -

1) Is it totally free for developers, for free and paid apps?
2) Will we able to retrieve any information about song, lyrics, images, singer etc?
3) How many requests allowed in a day?

1) Is it totally free for developers, for free and paid apps?

The API is free to use as long as you stick to the terms here: http://api.ent.nokia.com/terms.html - specifically note section 6 - we require you to link through to our app on Windows Phone or our web experience.

2) Will we able to retrieve any information about song, lyrics, images, singer etc?

Yes to all those except lyrics at the moment.

3) How many requests allowed in a day?

Right now there are no limits as such - we do monitor each application's usage and have the option to disable abusive usage, but haven't had to do that so far

Thanks for great information. I am working in this advance music app for nokia lumia and windows 8.

I have another query, Can I send a recorded sound file sung by user or part of song, and api can find complete song and provide response to request. Such stuff is possible with current api?

Sorry, no we don't have fingerprinting in the API.
