[WP8] [Calendar] Save an Appointment with my own date

Hi guys,

This is my first post here but I have heard a lot about this community !

I need some help on my application. I want to add an appointement so I'm using the SaveAppointmentTask.
But I want to use my own date and I did'nt really understood how to do it.

Let me explain. In my app, I'm saving the birthdate of someone and then I want to add an appointement a this date in order to save his birthday date in the calendar.

My questions are :

How to do it when I'm using savAppointmentTask.StartTime.
How to I have to write the date ? eg : 2013/05/26 or in an other way ?

Hello Sebepik and welcome,

saveAppointmentTask.StartTime takes a DateTime as a value, if you want to give a specific date do it like this :
for example : Mr X Y birthday in on 06/20 =>

saveAppointmentTask.StartTime = new DateTime(2013,6,20)

how to write the date in 2013/05/26 format ?
using a DateTime object

yourDate.ToString("yyyy/MM/dd")

or

yourDate.ToShortDateString()
