Urgent help please - Ticker setString method on 6610

Good day all,

Is there anyway to prevent the ticker from resetting itself to the starting position everytime I use the setString() method?

I'm doing a GPRS stock application, and everytime my update timer triggers, the ticker string is always resetted. On the Sun ONE Studio emulator, the string scrolls along just fine. But when I download into my 6610, it resets every time.

Thank you for your feedback. This problem has been bugging me for quite sometime, and I really need to fix this soon
