Downloading content on 7650

Hi,

How do I download content like e.g. ringtones to 7650 and know wether the ringtone has been installed correctly or not?

7650 doesn't support COD....

hmm can I use OMA or what do I do?

Hello!

COD and OMA Download OTA are not supported in the Nokia 7650.

You can use direct link to content or e.g. servlet handling the download in your WML page.

It is not possible to check the installation without download methods like COD or OMA Download OTA. You can JAD download method with Java applications in Nokia 7650.

I have tried using JAD with the 7650, but it seems that the device doesn't support the install notificationen. Is that correct?

And hence there are no way to check the installation?

Hello!

Nokia 7650 has JAD support and you can check the installation status of the JAR file by using the 'MIDlet-Install-Notify' attribute in your JAD file.

Have you add the MIME type of the JAD to your server?

Yes I have added the content-type for the JAD file to my server.

The Installation notify works on e.g. 3510i, but when looking in the log file of my WAP server, I can see that the 7650 never call my wap server back.

I have tried it with 2 different 7650, does it depend on the version in the 7650?
