Cell name

Hi,

Is it possible to retrieve the cell name ? by cell name I mean what is displayed on the handset when you enable Cell Info Display in Network Settings.

Cell id is relatively straight forward but I dont see anything obvious in etelbgsm.h suggesting the cell name. I have noticed that the cell id changes much more frequently as you move around than the 'cell name' displayed on the handset, so perhaps there is no direct mapping of cell id to name.

Any ideas on how this mapping works ?

hi,
the mapping is quite simple. in general one bts has one name for displaying. cell id changes more often because there are more cell ids within one bts than one. the other answer is the names that are displayed are the same in different locations.
