    Hello!

I would like to start an J2ME application when the user clicks on a WAP page. As far as I concern, it is impossible to do it from the wml page. Am I right?

So, I have though to do it by OTA. Then, when the user clicks on the WAP page, an HTTP request is sent to the WEB server and this sends an OTA message "start J2ME application" to the mobile, which start the desired J2ME application.

    Is it possible?

    Thanks in advance

    Héctor

As far as i Know, you can not do that using Midp 1.0.

However, using the Registry capabilities of MIDP 2.0 you will be able to start a Midlet form an SMS and/or Socket connection.

    Regards,

    Fernando
