    Hello All,

maybe anyone can give me the following info:
One of our 3650/7650 Applications uses following functionalities:
    .) PIM Access (Calendar, Contacts)
    .) Camera access
.) Audio access (microphone, audio player)
    .) IP Access

Will all these functionalities be accessible with the new Symbian 7.0?
For which functions do we need to expect problems when porting?

    Thank you for your help,
    Wolfgang

    Hi

I have only done quite a little development with 6600 and using still 1.0 SDK.

PIM Access (Calendar, Contacts) seemed to work correctly, had some problems with clock alarm server thou. SIM contacts are not supported in 6600 anymore.

Camera access, didn't see any problems at all.

Audio access (microphone, audio player), Huge problems, some parts don't work at all for example converter crashes right away. Recording doesn't work, playing works thou. For some reason audioutilities can't see the sound file format & codec after opening it (same way as with mid in 3650) for all files in 6600.

Haven't used IP yet. Propably should work without problems.

    Hi

Like I said, still using the SDK 1.0, which is originally designed for 7650, being lazy to swap to 1.2 which would include some stuff for 3650.

The SDK for 6600 is not yet available for developers, all thou I might get it if I really would want to, but rememebering series 60 SDK 0.3, I think it's better to wait for to real release version.

As always, it's coming soon, thou nobody seems to know what soon actually means.
