Sync 8310 using Java / Perl

Hi there.

Not sure if this is the right place, I've just signed up.

I'd like to be able to sync the calendar of my 8310 with my desktop PC. I run Linux and use Ximian software's excellent Evolution PIM. The PC side of things is all in my control; I have my calendar exported as XML. Now for the challenge: How do I get my calendar out of my phone, onto my PC, synchrinised, and then back into my phone? I'd like to do this using IR if that's at all possible.

If anyone's got any suggestions, they're most welcome.
