    It look the guys at Nokia are still hibernating...Even the latest data suite version does not do the job - so keep your hands off from the present nokia modem drivers.
    The interim solution to run Nokias 6210/6310 (and maybe others..) under Win XP is:
    activat IR on your phone and let Windows detect the phone (as standard modem over IR link) Use this "non nokia" driver to set up your connections.
    In case HSCSD is available, add follwing string under extra command in modem properties: AT+CBST=81,0,1.
    and this will speed you up from 9,6 to 38,4.
    It works with IR only - but it is still better than nothing.

    I let win XP detect my nokia and after that I installed the Windows 2000 nokia modem driver. Once that is installed XP doesn't use it right away. Go to your device properties of the detected wireless modem device and update the driver. Now you have to select the nokia 6310 modem driver you just installed.
    It works fine with me.
