Nokia 6600, install signed midlet?

hello's

i have a working midlet with jad/jar file. every installation starts with: application is not signed. so i signed it, which brings me to this situation:

after copying the files via irda:
- jar file is in the inbox
- jad file is in the inbox too

if i open the jad file there is no 'not signed message' but the midlet is not installed. but there is no error message.

if i open the jar file the midlet is installed but there is that 'not signed' message again.


how can i come around this?

well this would become somehow cost-intensive...

so i would prefer another solution

the phone could just find the jar-file in the inbox... but noooo....

What is the path you are using for the MIDlet-Jar-URL parameter.
This is just a crazy shot in the dark, but I assume you used a relative parameter that assumes that the jad and the jar are in the same directory. Try copying the files via irda and then use a file explorer to see where exactly on the phones drives they are stored. Then adjust the MIDlet-Jar-URL parameter to reflect this. I would go for using an absolute path (like C:\System\Mail\10292929_s\MyJar.jar) but maybe a relative path (to the location of the jad on the phone) can also work. Then send a new jad with the updated parameter. Then select the new jad, cross your fingers, and.....(who knows)
