Thread: audio.amr ??

    Can i know what is the "amr" extension stand for???
    And if i want to create it,what application should i use???And what program can i use to support this "amr" application?? if i use a "midi" file,can i just change the extension into "amr"??

    Hi,

    AMR = Adaptive Multi-Rate.

    You can create amr-files with Nokia Multimedia Converter 2.0, available at Forum Nokia webpage.

    MIDI and AMR are two totally different types of audio formats. MIDI file doesn't include any wave audio, but notes how to play the file. AMR file contains real wave audio, so you cannot just change the extension to make your MIDI an AMR file.
