The problem of Nokia 3300 and awb

Hi,

I am trying to use True Tone on Nokia 3300.

I use Nokia Multimedia Convert 2 to make awb file. I also cahnge the ext file name from amr to awb.

I use http://xxx.xxx.xxx/test.awb.

Sorry.....I use traditional chinese edition of Nokia 3300. The word may be difference with english edition.

Nokia 3300 will show me "Get a RingTone".
I can choose "Listen","Save","Abord"
If I choose "Listen", it will be "No name"!
If I choose "Save", it will let me decide a name and save in forder. But....after I chose folder, I do not how to play it on Nokia 3650. I can not find my test.awb file!!!

Can any one kindly give me a hand?

Hi,

True Tones ie. AMR-WB files cannot be played in Nokia 3650, since there's no support for it. AMR-NB (*.amr) is supported in 3650.

Does your post mean that I can use NMC 2.0 to convert an MP3 or WAV file to AMR-NB and then use the AMR file (*.amr) as a ring tone?

I have the same problem, I was able to load the .awb tone to the phone but it says no name and it does not play any sound...

Yes,

In document of True Tone, it says Nokia 3300 can use the awb as a true tone.

In my case, I download awb files from WAP, then 3300 will ask me the name of the awb file and the folder which I want to save.

I can only save in MMC card, 3300 does not let me save in phone. And I can not find any thing from MMC cards......

Yeah, well I am saving it into the memory card also. It think this is how it is supposed to be. But even when I listen the file before saving it plays no sound.. Does yours have a sound?
When selecting a new ringtone you should be able to brwose to the memory card and there to the Tones folder..

In my case, I can not play it before save awb file; it will show unknow file name if I want to play it before save.

I can not find it after I save it.

How can you find out the awb file?

Mine let's me save and rename it. That is how I can then find it also cause I name it first.
I cannot believe the 3300 has this many problems!

I can rename and save it when I use wap download.

But I can not find it out in my phone.

Maybe there is some problem in traditional chinese.

I also find symbian software can run in some edition of Nokia 7650, but some can not run.

I own two Nokia 7650 for test. They are difference edition! And some symbian can run in European edition of Nokia 7650 but not in chinese edition of Nokia 7650......> <

Nokia 3300 is poor in Taiwan!

It is too ugly and stupid for chinese!
