HTTP Direct Connection without null serial port cable by jgarpu
This procedure allows test applications who make connections to the internet.
1- Download the Series_60_MIDP_SDK_for_Symbian_OS_v_1_2_1 from Nokia Forum and install it.
2- Copy the following files located in the Series_60_MIDP_SDK home dir
(C:\Series_60_MIDP_SDK_for_Symbian_OS_v_1_2_1\bin\Series_60_MIDP_SDK_for_Symbian_OS_v_1_2_1\)
to your Symbian Series 60 SDK dir (C:\Symbian\6.1\Series60\)
It's recommended make first a backup of the files before overwritting.

3-Use the Series60Ex\Sockets example to test the procedure. Try with a numeric IP, because DNS resolution don't seems to work.

Hi,
I tried the samething, but the sockets application would crash the emulator. If I try to open the services app, the emulator would crash.
Is there anything else that is needed to make this work?
Regards,
Brijesh
