Increasing Persistant Storage

Hi!

We've selected Nokia 3100 as the device to use for a field force automation application.

Unfortunately, there is one major problem:

The phone seems to limit the RMS size to 20KB.

Is there any workaround to this?? Can the 450KB of shared memory be used to store data written by a MIDlet suite?

Storing data on the phone is absolutely essential.. a min. of 200KB of data might need to be stored and accessed over a period of time.. Accessing the data via HTTP over GPRS would not be feasible..

Too bad, because it looks like it's the only possible solution.
The 20K limit is there and you have no way around it (there is no way to access the native filesystem).
Other than storing the data remotely you're only option would be to change to a device with more space for the RMS, or with access to the filesystem.
