9210, access to front cover phone features

Where in the 9200 Communicator series SDK is the relationship between the Cover Phone (front telephone interface) and the Communicator (open case) detailed?

Can you add a new menu item to the front LCD display?

Can you handle keypad (front cover phone) events?

Is there a C++ or Java function to enable keypad lock on the front cover phone?

How do change the function of the speed dial keys on the keypad to execute a program on the communicator instead of executing a speed dial?
