I hope someone knows the answer to this question.....
According to the 6600 technical specifications at http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,,015_291,00.html the 6600 only supports HSCSD and GPRS bearers. However the phone apparently lists CSD, HSCSD and GPRS bearers. In the menu at services > options > settings > options > edit, the following
bearers are displayed: GPRS, Data call, High Speed (GSM). Can any one explain this contradiction?
Incidently I could not browse using Vodafone UK CSD settings but I could using Swisscom settings. Swisscom support HSCSD and I think Voda UK do not.
thanks for the answer, it throws up a few more questions
am I right in thinking that configuration message with the CSD bearer settings and an application id other than w2 (browsing) cannot be handled by the device. I notice this happens for MMS as you say, but will this happen for PRESENCE/EMAIL etc.
I notice that the 6600 also rejects MMS configuration with CSD bearer. Does the 6600 behave as the 6220?
Do you know if Nokia have a policy for CSD support for the different applications, ie will future devices behave as 6220/6600?
