SDK on Linux
I just searched forums and did not find a posting about a successful installation of tools and stuff to get a working development platform on Linux.
Are there any success stories of people who managed to get a running platform for development of s60 applications on Linux?
I did manage to install the sdk on Linux according to this http://www.ki-ag.de/pages/tech/Symbi..._on_linux.html
but with a small tweak (gcc wouldn't compile on my FC1 so I got a precompiled version from symbian)
by problem is beyond that, I can't start coding since I can't construct the basic skeleton of the app.
Has anyone successfully installed GnuPoc (gnupoc.sourceforge.net) according to their howto ?
I can't do the patch
Is there any way that you could make the gcc binaries available? If I could get them from you, I'd put them on my webserver for anyone else.
I cannot get them to compile either.
Since he is having difficulty loggin into these forums, telerian1 has asked me to mention in this thread that the gcc cross-compiler binaries can be found on the GnuPoc website here:
I also could not get the GnuPoc patches to successfully apply. I have proposed a newer, fresher initiative to get this environment up and running on Linux here:
Please post a reply to that thread if you are interested.
