User agent fields for phone Identification

Having read most of the other posts containing the string
"User agent fields", I now know I need parse these
to determine the phone type.

What I don't know, is how I would do this!
I am guessing this would be some server side cgi ?
(probably perl ?)

I can write basic WML, and I wrote HTML about 10 years ago,
but other than my web authering skills are pretty much zero.

If someone could post the source WML/CGI/whatever that
performs a page redirection, to say a default page or a page
specifally for the 7210 (if the phone is a 7210), then I am sure this
would help not just me, but many other people.

you could take a look at the document "XHTML Example for Customizing Content" at www.forum.nokia.com/browsing -> Code and Examples. There´s one code example for recognizing the client.
