Monophonic ringing tone

I would like to know the supported monophonic rintone formats of each Nokia phone. Do they support Nokia binary, iMelody 1.2, eMelody,... or is there any other Nokia proprietary format?

Hi,

Monophonic ringtone format supported in Nokia phones is Nokia binary ringtone format. That's supported in all Nokia phones. iMelody or eMelody is not supported.

I have noticed that monophonic ringing tone have extension of .rng. May I know where I can find more information regarding the rng file format... Any API available for that.

Nokia's monophonic ringtone format is defined in Smart Messaging specification. You can get it from http://ncsp.forum.nokia.com.
