Browse on a real WAP phones

Hi,
i am a newbie in WAP technology

i have developed a apache WAP server,
some wml files and php files can be browse by using the nokia WAP browser simulator and nokia WAP gateway simulator.

If i using a WAP enabled phones to access on my server to browse those page, is it just input the ip server?

Do i need to register from the real WAP gateway?

Hello!

It seems that you have Apache web server where you have set the mime types.

If you like to connect that server using phone, the server must be puplic IP address, after that you should set the WAP settings on your phone and connect. Propably u are using the service provider's gateway or proxy

i have try to connect my server using phone
but it failed

i am using the service provider's gateway,
how can make it recognise my ip address?
and what is a public ip address in fact?

Hello!

Public IP address means that you can go example library and take the connection to your server using their computers.

Public IP is also fixed and you have to make deal with your service provider about that. It also means that there are allowed two way trafic, peopple can connect to your machine.
