I have some question about Cell ID and Cell Name

I know Symbian can write program to display Cell ID.
But I want to know it can write program to display Cell Name.

I want to get data Cell ID and Cell Name into my database for Mapping in my map.

Any body know solution please tell me.

Because now I walk along the street and take a bus and write it down in book by using program minigps and call info network on my mobile. It so hard for get Cell ID and Cell Name all of them in my town.

Maybe you could have a look at the SysInfo60 application. Here's the link: http://www.newlc.com/article.php3?id...herche=sysinfo . Maybe it displays cell name as well.

Can I retrieve the cell id of the the person who is calling my cellphone ie. the location of the calling party, calling my cell phone.

No...i dont think so...
You are just able to retrieve your's.
No such access\permissions to do this..

I have created one for S60 3'rd and 2'nd and i was only able to get my covered Cell ID, i was dreaming for developing a game paced on that.....but still in progress.

Anyways, you will be able only to get one Cell ID, my friend told me that he is able to play around this (hacking!) through Windows Mobile, he can play with the covered Cell ID, meaning if his current Cell ID was (ex. 70222) he can change it to be (ex. 75985) then no one can catch him :-)

I am not sure, even though his a very very smart guy i ever seen!!!
