    I am writing a game for series60 phones. The jar file size is 65K and could grow to about 70K at the most. Most of the space is taken up by graphic .png files. will this run on all series60 nokia phones?

    Are there any tricks to getting better compression?

    Yes, it will if the phone have enough free space to store.

    About compression:
    - obfuscators can reduce class file size and makes almost impossible to reverse engineer your app
    - you can save a lot of space if you optimize resources eg. images. There were many long discuss in this topic (use search)

    Ya,
    You can use 90/95 k size for game on Series 60.
    About compression...
    You can use pngCrush ,PngOut and other optimising methods to reduce the size without loosing your quality of image.
