As I am reading about the MMSC , and have some experience of working with SMSC , I reached to a conclusion that MMSC is more like an HTTP Server with access to send SMS and recieve \initiate GPRS sessions

Doest that mean I can build an MMSC my self if I have a gprs modem and an HTTP server for development ?

    Hi!

Yes, you can build your own MMSC. Only components you need is HTTP server and a GSM modem to send SMS notifications to receiving terminals.

You should read the 3GPP specifications now this can be done, we here at Forum Nokia are not in position to help you.

BTW, server side does not initiate the GPRS session. It's the MMS client at your receiving device.
