NMC message "unsupported or corrupted file"

I get the message "unsupported or corrupted file" after the NMC 2.0 conversion process completes. The MPEG-2 video I am trying to convert plays ok in NMC. I note that the audio codec is displayed as unsupported. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I "resolved" the problem by converting the MPEG-2 file to an MPEG-1 file first. I can then get the Multimedia Converter to generate the .3gp file with acceptable video.

But now my problem is that the audio and video are not synchronised. The audio gets ahead of the video. I tried varying all the parameters with the MMC screen but can't get the audio/video in synch.

Has anyone else seen this ??
