Please tell me is it POSSIBLE to write a C++/JAVA application using Series 60 platform(or any sort of technologies) that installs itself into the Symbian OS as part of the Input Methods that an user can switch from exisiting input methods to my chinese input method in normal operation ?

Can native application do it? As I know , T9 is the default input method on Symbian OS. I want to investigate a way what technology I can use to create a self-defined input method embedded into the OS like T9 does .......

    Please help.

Sounds like you want/need to implement a custom FEP. Check the SDK for documentation. There are also some docs/examples available on Forum Nokia:
