Ethernet Plugin: The horror never stops! :-(

Hi there!
I've been struggling with the ethernet plugin for the 2.0 SDK for two days now but couldn't get the network connection to work so far. I have followed all the steps from the docs and previous posts to the forum.
Strangely enough, when I open a socket connection I can see in the npacketadmin that packets actually leave the emulator (e.g. the DHCP server gets query packets) but _NO_ packets are received.
I've tried both DHCP and static IP, both PROMPT and DONOTPROMPT, both IPv4 and IPv6 but all to the same result: I get a virtual MAC for the emulator, packets leave the emulator (and can be seen on the net via ethereal) but _NO_ packets get back into the emulator.
Anyone an idea on this?
Cheers,
Stevie
PS.: Is there a forum dedicated to npacket admin problems?

Hey Stevie,
Try out the ethernet plug-in for Series60 2.1 version and it worked for me.
Reply back if u couldn't able to make it work.

Hi Sunil!
Hmmm... I re-scanned the site for a 2.1 Ethernet plugin but could only find the 2.0 plugin. Where do I get the 2.1 one?
Cheers,
Stevie.

Hey,i was talking about the Series60 SDK 2.1,
You install that SDK and leave about searching the ethernet plug-in for SDK 2.1 as u don't require ethernet plug-in once you install SDK.
Cheers,
Sunil
Still not successful!

Hi Sunil,
I've now tried it with 2.1/CW with same (unsatisfactory) results: As I can see in npacketadmin, packets leave the emulator (sent packet count rises) but no packets come back in (received packet count stays zero). Any idea??
Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Stevie,
I think the problem may be with the network settings of your emulator, could you let me know what are your settings i.e,IP address,DNS server address,Gateway address etc.
Cheers,
Sunil

Sure, here we go with cedout.cfg directly dumped from my S60_2.1_CW emulator, slightly edited to fit the 10k limit:

Okay, I've successfully tried the 2.0 SDK / Ethernet Plug-In combo on a vanilla Windows 2000 system. Worked like a charm .
Question now: is this an XP specific problem? Does anyone have the emulator networking under XP??
Cheers, Stevie.
