How to start an own app in emulator directly?

I have the SDK set up successfully, and I can debug the application using the Visual studio IDE by running it in epoc.exe -emulator.

But I could not find any way to start my app automatically, say for example, if i want to automate testing.

Is'nt there a switch to epoc.exe I could give the emulator, e.g. epoc.exe -start hello.app or someting similar?
