Video Ringtone

I want to replace my ringtone player by a video player. Is that possible at all and if yes how?

Especially: in order to be able to play ringtones too, should the new application have the same ID as the standard player? And wouldn't that give a problem for installing?

Who knows an application? Or how this works???

BTW, is to possible in ANY way to 'override' existing application by providing the new one? I mean hide to old and show new one, because the old cannot be deleted from ROM...
