Problem with sockets application

I am trying to run the sockets example application that comes with series 60 SDK. I have set the ip address for the emulator dirrerent from my pc. When i execute the example I am only able to send the data but not able to recieve any. Has anyone faced a similar problem, pls let me know if there is a work around.

Hi,

Can you tell where are you sending the data to? I mean to which IP address? Have you set up a server at other end of the network for this purpose ?

yes i have set up a server on the other end, for testing purpose i have setup the sip server itself on the other end with manual response option. any character sent from the applciation is visible in the sip servers log, but any manual response sent from the server is not recieved by the app.
