    Hi
I m develioping an app fo Symbian 9.2, that requires to play mp3 clip from descriptor. So for that I m using CMdaAudioPlayerUtility.

But when call back method MapcInitComplete is called with error
    -5 (Not supported).

But if I play same audio clip from file then it plays smoothly.
    Kindly help me.

    Thanks

I did notice that with earlier platforms as well, and back then I basically had to save the descriptor a file and play from it. Maybe you could do the same as well.

    Hi
Basically my app needs merging of clips mp3 at run time and playing them. So writing merged code to file will make slow down
the app so please provide some solution or how can I confirm that it is symbian defect.

    Thanks and Regards

You might consider searching for streaming mp3 on the Symbian C++ board (unfortunately the big Search field on the left is not that good, but if you click on Symbian C++ on the top of this page, and right-click + open in new tab/window on the tiny search field on the right, you will succeeed).

    Hi Anand,

CMdaAudioPlayerUtility does not play MP3 buffer (OpenDes). You have to store it in a file and use OpenFile.
Otherwise, CMdaAudioOutputStream might help, if you set the correct sampling rate.
I had the same problem. Look at this post:
