    hi every one
    I want to know whether amr files can be played like wav files . I want to use amr files as they are smaller in size and my application uses a lot of sound files . So anyone can tell me how it is done.

    I think that I have to use CMMFCodec as CAmrToPcmDecode is not available in 2.0 edition. has anybody done it before. please guide.

    if it just a file, just open it as you would,open the wav file and play it as usual, the framework should take care of playing it accordingly, thou sometimes there might be some small problems with the format.

    I tried to play it like the wav file but it didnot worked . are u sure the CMdaAudioPlayerUtility can play the amr file like the wav file.

    at least I have used the CMdaAudioRecorderUtility succesfully on playing wav, amr & midi files. Anyway try it on the phones, since the emulators are sometimes acting funnily, while playing files.
