Http Connection

Iam trying to download a file from the internet and save it in the phone memory. I could not connect the emulator to the internet using HTTP though it was possible with WAP. I tried the AOExample from the Nokia forum, but as the http connection of the emulator is not possible, I could not complete it. The error shown is -2 (Cannot connect to the port.). Can any one please help. Iam using Symbian SDK 2.0 (series 60), MSDEV editor, and the phone is 6600.
