HTTP connection

Problem creating HTTP connection.

I have an app that makes a HTTP connection but for some reason on certain phones it just seems to sit there trying to establish the connection. I have had it working on a 6600 but have just tried it on another 6600 and it doesn’t work. The WAP settings seem fine (in fact I had them sent to the phone from the Vodafone site) but it just doesn’t seem to want to make the connection.

The only difference I can see is that the phone was a PAYG and I have my contract SIM in it, however, I can’t seem to find a setting to switch this (the Sharp GX15 has such a setting).

Everything else seems to work with the contract SIM, voice calling, Vodafone live, etc, etc.

Just as a note on this...

I now have it working on the 6600. I changed the connection setting from Vodafone WAP to Vodafone internet. I seem to remember though that on the other 6600 the settings were still on the wap APN.
