Jad file headache

Hi,

I have tried to set up a JAD file for downloading to my 7650 as a test. I have set up the JAD and application JAR on my web server. I am only downloading the JAD file via a bookmark URL - nothing fancy. However, the JAD file fails to load with a cryptic message.

If I try to download the JAR file directly using a bookmark URL it works fine. I have checked the Jar Manifest file in case there is a discrepancy with the JAD. Nothing wrong there.

The only thing I can suggest is change the following line...

MIDlet-1: GClass, /i.png, GClass

To

MIDlet-1: GameA, /i.png, GClass

Many thanks for replying. I am afraid it did not work though. Do you think it is something the operator (O2) is doing to the file at the gateway?

The file size is just under 300k. Could this be a problem?

Hi,

I just ran a test for my theory about the jar file size. I just tried to install a Jad of another application that is only 88k. It worked! I am now starting to suspect that O2 are limiting the Jar file sizes. Does anyone else have experience of this.
