Problems with installation on 7650

Hello!

I' m having a problem installing python on my 7650:

This is what i made:

1.)
Downloaded the file:
"PythonForSeries60_1stEd_SIS.zip"
(cause the 7650 ist Series 60, Edition 1)

Problem:
This package contains no file like:
"PythonForSeries60.SIS" :-(

(like described in the document: "Getting_Started_with_Python_1_0.pdf" in the same package)

2.)
Downloaded the file:
"PythonForSeries60_2ndEd_SIS.zip"

Yeah, there is the file, called:
"PythonForSeries60.SIS"

3.)
Send the file to my device and got the following message:

"Unable to install. Install Series60ProductID first"

????

Where do i get this file??? Does anyone know it? Or did anyone succesfully installed the python interpreter on the 7650?

It might very well be that Python doesn't work at all on the 7650.

Being absolutely accurate, the 7650 was more of "Series 60 0th Edition" - zeroth edition - device (version 0.9), rather than "1st Edition" (where the first devices were the 3650 and N-Gage based on Series 60 1.2).

Yes, but there is a file called PythonForSeries60_pre_SDK20.SIS. Try installing that.
