PNG image too big in size

Hi guys I have J2ME application and I would like to transfer it on to my phone. I have a bit of a problem though as the maximum JAR size for a nokia 6230 is 128KB. In my application I have a png format image which is 340KB in size, which is making the JAR size file that large. I was wondering if I could use the same image but reduce the JAR size file. It will be much appreciated if anyone can sugest anything. Thank you.

There things you can do, but none of them are going to give you enough reduction.

Your best bet to to lower the bit depth of the image, or make it smaller preferably both.
